The Linen Closet:
A large amount of linens can be quite heavy.  Choose a medium-sized carton, not
too large for packing linens.  They needn’t be wrapped before being placed into
the carton; however, if you have some clean wrapping paper, use that to line the
bottom of the carton to help avoid soiling.
Packing a Clothes Closet:
Besides the usual clothing which is hanging on clothes hangers, clothes closets
also normally contain a great many other miscellaneous items found on the floor
and shelving.  Most of these items are not breakable and are comparatively light-
weigh; therefore, wrapping is not necessary and a large carton is best suited for
packing.

Hanging clothes will either have to be hung in a mover’s wardrobe cartons or will
have to be packed in cartons or draws; however, using smaller cartons or draws
will surely wrinkle the clothing.  Will you can purchase wardrobe boxes from
your mover, on local moves it may be more practical to carry the clothing in your
own car to its new destination.

Clothing which is stored in hanging garment bags should be removed from the
garment bag.  Garment bags aren’t substantial enough to withstand the journey
with clothing hanging on them.  Either pack the garment bags in cartons or lay
them on the floor of a wardrobe carton if you are using any.
