Markers:
You will need either a red or black, wide-tip magic marker, one that writes in
heavy, bold lettering. Each box you pack should be marker generously.
First, as soon as a carton is packed, mark the list of contents and room so you
will know where to place it at your knew destination.
If the contents are fragile, be sure and mark the word “FRAGILE” on all four
sides of the carton. Mark it boldly, and in extra-large letters so there will be
know mistake about it.
If the carton should not be turned on its side or upside down (for fear of
damaging the contents), then mark “THIS SIDE UP” on all four sides of the
carton and draw arrows pointing to the top.
It all boils down to this: To help the people who will be carrying the cartons, be
sure and mark whatever special instructions on the carton as needed for the
safety of the carton and its contents. By doing this, you can be assured that your
cartons will be carried and loaded on the truck or van in such a way so as to
avoid the possibility of a mishap.
